Overview

EPM is a web application that is designed to provide instant access to employees to multiple services in an organization related to performance review, appraisal cycle, quarterly feedback, annual feedback, etc., This application is available for web browser, as well as for mobile devices (iOS and Android device).

   Challenges in the Current Version

The current version of EPM has multiple challenges which has been addressed in this release version V 0.3:

  • Unclear and Vague features
  • Project Size and Complexity
  • Inconsistent features
  • Loading time more than threshold limit

 

New Features & Enhancements

New Features

Four new features have been released in EPM version 0.4. These features are:

1. Employee Engagement Feature

Employees can request 1:1 with their managers for the career, promotion, appraisal, etc., discussion. 

2. Training & eLearning

Access to training and eLearning material for the employees. User can raise a request for the same on approval of which video courses on various subjects are easily available.


Enhancements

Following features in the product have been enhanced with new additions. Refer the content below for details:

1. Goal Setting Tool

2. Personal Development Tool

3. Pulse Survey


System Requirements

The release is focused on existing feature enhancement and addition of new features. Hence, it does not have any standalone software or hardware requirements for its installation apart from standard product installation pre-requisites which is mentioned in the EPM runbook.

 

Upgradation or Installation

The previous version of EPM does not support any upgradation plan. Hence, to have these new or enhanced features, product requires a fresh installation.

Topic Based Authoring

There are two kind of authoring, one is Topic Based Authoring and other one is Narrative Authoring. In Technical writing, for large documentation we use Topic Based Authoring. What is Topic Based Authoring? In Topic based authoring, we follow a modular content creation approach where we produce content in modules and compile them to form a large technical document. These modules are independent and can be created by different authors.
